Between earning the Google Cybersecurity Professional Certificate, CompTIA Security+, and gaining hands-on experience through labs and rooms in LetsDefend, I’ve also sharpened my problem-solving skills with the UCSD Algorithmic Toolbox. My goal? To make learning engaging while tackling cybersecurity challenges with a smile.
I'm Saeed Khalid, a 3rd-year engineering student with a passion for self-learning and skill development. My journey in the tech world has led me to gain knowledge in HTML, CSS, Python, Java, and C++. I'm particularly fascinated by the dynamic fields of cybersecurity and web development, which I'm currently exploring in depth. I enjoy the challenge of solving complex problems and continually expanding my technical skill set.
Our 7-week cybersecurity fundamentals program builds a solid foundation in critical areas. We cover operating system security, Web application security, malware analysis, Incident response, SIEMs, and frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK and cyberkill chain. Students gain hands-on experience with both Windows and Linux environments, learning essential skills for securing systems, managing permissions, and implementing defensive measures. This comprehensive approach, blending theory and practice, prepares participants for the multifaceted challenges of modern cybersecurity, equipping them for both offensive and defensive roles in this dynamic field.
